Kumu Hula Nalani Keale – Halau Kaulakahi
Kumu Hula Nalani Keale is Hawaiian educator, dancer and astoe from O’ahu, Hawaii, Son of the late ‘ukulele master, singer and recording artist Moe Keale and Kumu Hula Patricia Andrade Keale, he began dancing hula at age 3 with his mother. He later studied with renowned kumu hula Chinky Mahoe, Lydia Kauakahi, Darrell Lupenui and Charles Ka’upu. He danced with his father’s show and featured hula dancer at several top Waikiki showrooms. In 1994, Nalani re opend his mother’s hula studio under the name Halau Kaulakahi here on O’ahu. In addition, he has halau hula (studio) in Germany and Japan. He also teaches hula to visitors and kama’aina as a volunteer at the Waikiki Community Center. His halau performs in various festival and show.
